His core values are education, communication, and responsiveness. They are the foundation for every way he goes about his business. Alex’s real enjoyment is seeing the “click” in his client’s eyes as they come to a deeper understanding of how each part of the process affects them, how to prepare, and make the informed decisions necessary for their unique situation. “It’s about knowing the best options, the common obstacles that come up, and preparing a strategy for how to operate the complexities and uncertainties involved in buying or selling a home.” For buyers, you can find information on how to budget, get the best financing, and how to decide on the the right home. For sellers, how to get your home show-ready, negotiate the best deal, and making smooth moving transitions. There are regular monthly housing market updates as well.
By having a proper budget to market his clients homes, his listings are getting more hours of video views than there is time in a day. In addition his social media presence reaches tens of thousands thousands of Rochester area locals every week. “I don’t just post a listing up on my Facebook business page, it’s a lot more intricate than that.” By having a team of professional stagers, photographers, and videographers, Alex’s home show casings are presented in the best light and get the most engagement translating into less time on the market and more money for his sellers.
Ayla, Alex’s Alaskan Malamute, shows up in many videos.
With over ten years in negotiations, starting at 19 years old arbitrating large settlements for companies like GE and Chase to entering real estate in 2016 and today, Alex has been a top producer. “Every new perspective and strategy inspires me. I’m constantly searching for the best mentors, books, and better ways. If I’m doing something it’s because I’ve researched it and the data backs it up.” You’ll always find a book close by filled with numerous underlines and notes in the margins. Alex attests his success to his love of learning.
Investing in his personal education has always been a priority, spending thousands of dollars a month in real estate coaching and engaging with the top mastermind groups in the nation. “As the market changes, we have to be able to adjust quickly for our clients. The best way I’ve found to do that is by staying in the circle of the top minds in the nation.” In addition to working with his clients one-on-one, Alex regularly teaches top agents across the country, local business owners, and marketing professionals on how and why his engagement marketing strategy is so effective. He has been featured on the award-winning podcast F.I.R.E.D. UP by Krista Mashore, which deals specifically with real estate and digital marketing.
Born in Rochester and raised in Riceville, Iowa wrestling was his favorite sport in high school having been a 4-time letter winner, member of the 100 wins club, with multiple championships, and state qualification. “Wrestling taught me how to learn from every win and loss, how to think strategically, and the self-control to manage myself.” Alex graduated with four years on the Dean’s List from Luther College where he studied sociology and statistics. Prior to entering real estate, Alex entered the consultant circuit as the youngest in his territory where he quickly became a top producer. His success ultimately led to his recruitment into real estate. He enjoys reading and spending time with his Alaskan Malamute dog Ayla who is featured in much of his marketing.
